The Gulamerian Fund is a major contributor to the SOAR Mobile Eye Care Project, the SOAR Dental Fund, the SOAR Transitional Centers in Gyumri and Yerevan, and the Harold and Josephine Gulamerian Transitional Center for Young Men, Yerevan, and the Ada Keshishyants Social Rehabilitation Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities.
SEPTEMBER
A total of 21 residents participated in the Sewing Project at Warm Hearth.
During this period, they made bed linen sets for all residents of the Kharberd 5/6 group home, kitchen towels for three group homes, curtains for the new locations and chair covers for the Arshakunyats group home.
By the end of the year, they plan to make bed linen sets, bath towels, and face towels for the residents of the Arshakunyats group home.
AUGUST
Another Space Transformed into New Opportunities
When an unused and deteriorated space is transformed into a bright and comfortable group room, it changes not only the space itself, but also the opportunities it creates for children.
At the Child and Family Support Center of Shirak Marz, a former storage area has been renovated and transformed into a safe, bright, and multifunctional group room, made possible through the generous support of the Society for Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) and its trusted partners.
The project included:
🔹 structural renovations and raising the ceiling,
🔹 installation of new windows,
🔹 installation of laminate flooring,
🔹 installation of movable partitions,
🔹 painting, finishing, and furnishing.
The renovated group room provides a spacious, bright and comfortable environment where children can participate in dance, pottery, painting and a variety of other group programs throughout the year, in a safe and welcoming setting.
The movable partitions allow the space to be flexibly divided into rooms of different sizes, depending on the needs of each activity or group. This will help the Center expand the range of programs it offers and better respond to the needs of its 160 child beneficiaries and their families through its residential and daycare programs.
The renovated space is an environment that creates new opportunities for children to learn, create and spend meaningful time together throughout the year.

Continued monthly diaper distributions to the Ada Keshishyants Social Rehabilitation Center for Children with Developmental Disabilities beneficiaries and to the vulnerable elderly of the community.
Javakh Summer Camp
Javakhk Camp Program began on July 1 and will continue through July 14 with 52 participants this year.
The Javakhk Summer Camp is of great importance, as it helps strengthen the national identity of Armenian children from Javakhk by providing them with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of Armenian culture, history, language and traditions. At the same time, the camp promotes physical activity, encourages a healthy lifestyle, fosters social and communication skills, builds teamwork and creates lasting friendships. Through a diverse program of educational, cultural, recreational and sports activities, participants gain new knowledge, valuable experiences and unforgettable memories that contribute to their personal growth and strengthen their connection to their Armenian heritage.
The family of Levon Manukyan was displaced from Artsakh and is currently engaged in agricultural activities in Kapan.
Recently, a landslide damaged the water supply system serving their farmland, placing the family at serious risk of losing their upcoming harvest. This situation could have had a significant impact on the family’s income and further aggravate their socio-economic challenges.
The family was provided with a water pump to irrigate their land and prevent the loss of their crops.
Before receiving this assistance, the family had appealed to both governmental and non-governmental organizations for support in obtaining a water pump, but unfortunately, they had not received a response.
Levon and Lala sincerely express their heartfelt gratitude for the prompt response to their request and for this vital assistance. The water pump has enabled them to irrigate their land, protect their harvest, and continue supporting their family through agriculture.

This support is truly vital for them. Many of the beneficiaries live in extremely poor conditions—in houses or temporary shelters—often lacking even basic living necessities. Therefore, the assistance provided was extremely necessary and timely, significantly easing their daily hardships.
